| Welcome to Prashant's web home. | |
Hello visitor, welcome to my home page. I am Prashant Kumar, final year(BTech-MTech Dual Degree) student at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur in Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering . As you might have guesed : image on left is mine( and it is reasonably recent one). Of late I have been spending time on my Master's thesis and other course projects. Recent addition to this list is teaching as tutor of Fundamentals of Computing . In free time I read newspapers, browse news sites such as this and this. I also like reading wide ranging topics in Computer Science and Engineering. Linux related sites are the frequently visited ones, add to that not infrequent visits to /. (slashdot) .
Hope you enjoy the stuff over here. Most of things have an informal tone. More personal information can be obtained from about me page. I am also a member of biometrics team over here and also dribble with high performance computing.
In case you have comments about my home page or otherwise please feel free to drop me an email, you can send anything as long as it is not spam. Feedback about broken links are specially welcome. Happy browsing, but before that you might like to read this letter from Abraham Lincoln to his son's teacher (yes, chances are there that you read it during your school days but it's worth reading time and again -:)
"He will have to learn. I know that all men are not
just and all men are not true. But teach him also that for every scoundrel there is a
hero; that for every selfish politician there is a dedicated leader. Teach him that for
every enemy there is a friend. It will take him, I know, but teach him, if you can, that a
dollar earned is of far more value than five found. Teach him to learn to lose and also to
enjoy winning, steer him away from envy, if you can; teach him the secret of quiet
laughter. |
